Bail granted in vehicle versus pedestrian case

May 26, 2022 | 1:00 PM

A man accused of running over another man in Prince Albert’s Cornerstone parking lot has been released on bail.

Rajdeepsinh Bihola, 22, appeared by phone Thursday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. He has been in custody since the incident on May 18 near the Arby’s restaurant.

He’s facing charges of aggravated assault and assault using a weapon, specifically in this case a vehicle.

The details of Thursday’s court hearing, including the circumstances that happened and the details of Bihola’s conditions, cannot be discussed at this time due to a publication ban.

Police have previously indicated some sort of altercation took place prior to the 31-year-old victim getting struck by the vehicle. At last word, he was still in hospital in Saskatoon.

The case returns to court on June 15. A number of Bihola’s friends and family members were present in court Thursday for the bail hearing.
