Charges laid following sexual assault investigation in Hepburn care facility

Charges have been laid after an investigation into a Hepburn, Sask. care facility determined five people had been sexually assaulted by a male staff member.
On April 19, Rosthern RCMP received a report of sexual assaults that occurred at the facility between 1992 and 2009. The staff member has not worked at the facility since 2009.
As a result of the RCMP investigation, 52-year-old Brent Gabona of Waldheim, Sask. was arrested on May 10 and charged with:
- five counts, sexual assault;
- three counts, sexual exploitation of a person with a disability.
