MELFORT, Sask. – AGCO, a manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, said it was subject to a ransomware attack that impacted some of its production facilities.

The company said in a news release it was affected for several days and potentially longer to fully resume all services depending upon how quickly it will be able to repair its systems.

Updates will be provided as the situation progresses.

AGCO designs, manufactures, and distributes agricultural machinery and precision ag technology.

A Saskatoon based company specializing in roasted pea, bean and lentil snacks is getting a financial boost from a dragon.

Three Farmers Foods will receive a $6.2 million investment from District Ventures and existing investors.

Arlene Dickinson is the general partner of District Ventures Capital and is part of the reality show Dragon’s Den.

Three Farmers Foods CEO Natasha Vandenhurk welcomed District Ventures as a partner.

“Armed with the resources required to build our brand and distribution across Canada and the USA and expand our manufacturing in Saskatchewan, we will be able to continue to push toward our goal of making whole bean snacking a staple in all households across North America,” Vandenhurk said.

Three Farmers currently has five product lines which are sold across North America at national chains such as Loblaws, Sobeys, Whole Foods, and Walmart.
