Daniel Maurice “Moe” Dorion was born on February 18, 1949, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on April 5, 2022, in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 73 years.

Daniel leaves to mourn, his sons, Lionel Sr. Dorion, Sheldon (Pamela) Dorion; his daughter, Eleanor (David) Ballantyne; his brother, Arnold (Nancy) Dorion; his sisters, Suzzette (Elias) Sewap, Linda (Henry) Morin, Verna (Pat) Linklater, Martha Linklater, Gladys Michel; his brother-in-law, Peter Bear; his grandchildren, Lionel Jr., Clyde, Bridget, Katrina, Harriet, Lanel, Tavyia, Allan, Bethany, Jake, Snyder, Sunni-Ann, Simona, Wilfred, Jesse, Phyllistine, Skye, Louisa, Amelia, Cecilia, Myra, Austin, Delanie, Suzzanne, Comrie, Julianne, Sheldon Jr., Alexi, Cecile, Ezra, Heavenly, Danish, Ramsey Jr.; his godchildren, Nathan, Coreen, Aaron, Louise, Ardele; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile Dorion (2007); his children, Rose Dorion (2008), Yolande Ballantyne (2021); his grandchildren, Cecil (2016), Tayvia, Cayven, Solomon, Josiah (2014), Baby Angel Boy; his sisters & brothers-in-law, Annie, Noah, George Michel, Napoleon Michel, Cecilia Dorion; his parents, Alphonse & Marie Dorion; his grandparents, Emile & Rosie Linklater, John & Suzette Dorion; his siblings, Harvey, Harriett, Clara, Gabe, JB; his Godfather, Solomon Merasty; his mother & father-in-law, Mary & Philip Ballantyne; his nieces & nephews, Teresa Swan, Derek Michel, Marlon Dorion, Kelly Rose; his friends, Gordon McC., Robert Custer, Baptiste Linklater, Rene Linklater.

The Prayer Service for Daniel will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Extra parking is available along River Street. The Wake Services will be held the evening of Thursday, April 7, 2022, and Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Pelican Narrows Band Hall. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK, with Father Heinner Paucar officiating.
