It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brenda Lee Laban, late of Fond Du Lac, SK formerly of Black Lake, SK on March 18th, 2022, at the age of 38 years. Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her common-law spouse Edward “Eddy” Whitedeer; her children Gracie Laban, Elisha Whitedeer, & Erin Whitedeer; her parents Mary (David) Bigeye; her brothers & sisters Chester Bigeye, Chrystal Bigeye, Natasha Denechezhe, Christy Bigeye & Christopher Bigeye-Danttouze; her uncles & aunts Jimmy & Rosanna Laban, Paul & Rose Laban, Jean & Adolph Sha’Oulle, Linda & Allan Robillard, Dorothy Ettibar, Gilbert & Sharon Ettibar, Pierre & Irene Ettibar, Florence & Archie Beavereye, Irene Broussie (Eddy), Gilbert & Tracy Broussie, Terry Broussie (Jeannie), Darlene (Joe) Laban, Ryan (Miranda) Laban, Randy (Margaret) Laban, Jennifer Laban, Sulvie Laban, Toby Laban, Donnie Laban, George Laban, Julie Laban, & Julien Laban, Bradley Laban, Darlene Laban, Sherrie Sha’Oulle, Sandra Sha’Oulle, Kyla Sha’Oulle, Donavon Sha’Oulle, Jr Sha’Oulle, Michel Ettibar, Heather, Robin Sayazie, Shellan Robillard, Clifford Broussie, Katelyn, Christina Beavereye, Alvina, Paulina, Serena, Melvina Ettibar, Renie’s family, Medal’s family, Laban families, & Bigeye families; her nieces & nephews Tristan, Christen (Whoadie) Bigeye, Chestine Bigeye, Chesden, & Jessica Joseyounen; her grandma Annie Danttouze; her friends Jane Cook, Elsie (Rudy) Adam, Tara Isadore, Julienne Bignose, Lorna Alphonse, Cheryl Mercredi and all her numerous friends from Fond Du Lac, & Black Lake. Brenda was predeceased by her brother Curtis Bigeye; his uncles & aunties Judith & Norbert Ettibar, Elmire Rosine Martin Broussie, Toby Laban, Doris Broussie, Leonard Broussie, Ricky Broussie, Davis Broussie, Kathy Ettibar, Albert Ettibar, & Ronald Ettibar, Johnny Laban, Niclise Laban, Lilian Hansen, Johnny, Christen Medal, & Napoleon Medal, Nicolas Laban; his nephews Danny Gavin, Melvin Medal; her grandparents John & Veronique Laban, John Baptiste Danttouze; her great-grandparents Germaine (Estare) Laban, Daphale (Rosalie) Medal; her best friends Roxanne Adam-Miller; as well as numerous others that have passed on. A visitation will be held at MacKenzie Chapel on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, at 2 PM. A wake service will be commencing Friday, March 25th, 2022, at the residence of Alvina Whitedeer in Fond Du Lac, SK. A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows on Monday, March 28th, 2022, at 2 PM in Fond Du Lac, SK. The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin.
