Henrietta “Jane” Bannerman

May 10, 1917 ~ February 16, 2022 

At the age of 104 years, Jane passed peacefully on the morning of February 16, 2022 in the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert, SK.

Jane was born on May 10, 1917 to Alexander and Bessie Morrison in MacDowall, SK.

Jane married John Bannerman on November 20, 1940 and raised a family of seven children.

Jane always kept herself busy with gardening, berry picking and canning.  She enjoyed watching curling, playing cards and watching softball games.  She was very active and devoted to her Church.  Jane received the Saskatchewan Order of Merit in 2009. Jane lived in Carment Court for 21 years prior to moving to the Herb Bassett Home.

Jane is survived by her children:  Florence, Fern (Lionel), Gordon, Betty (John), Lyle (Dianne), Alan (Velma); daughter-in-law Terry; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Jane was predeceased by her husband John in 1999; son Leslie in 1993; siblings:  Isabella, Campbell, Bessie, Peter, Marion; and son-in-law Don Dugan.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Herb Bassett Home for their care.

A Celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at MacDowall Lions Recreational Centre, MacDowall, SK with Archdeacon Andrew Hoskin officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Lindsay Cemetery. Services will be live streamed and videotaped.
