It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, and brother Lyle Leo Prince, on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, in Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 67 years. Unfortunately, Lyle lost his battle with cancer. His passing was very peaceful, with his family by his side. Lyle was born on July 26th, 1954, in Smeaton, SK. He was the son of Therese and Joseph Prince. Lyle grew up on a farm in Shipman, SK, along with his 11 brothers and sisters. He enjoyed numerous activities, especially curling and arm wrestling. His passion for mechanics and welding took him to places across Saskatchewan and other provinces, which eventually lead to him opening his own business. He was a free spirit and never stayed in one place long. He always did things his way. Lyle has 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. For the last 15 years of his life, Lyle made his home in Grand Prairie, AB where he worked as a welder. He made many friends during his life; people were drawn to his humorous nature. He had a kind and caring heart and helped many people. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A visitation will be held at MacKenzie Chapel on Saturday, February 12th, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Aldergrove Cemetery in Smeaton, SK. Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium.
