I figured a good place to begin was with a popular Vodka brand, Absolut.

When I did a little research on what the most popular cocktails were for Valentine’s Day, one called a Cape Codder caught my eye.

This simple, easy and refreshing cocktail is a favorite of many. The lack of a multitude of ingredients and bartender know how make it a perfect cocktail for entertaining in your own home….no muss no fuss!!

The vibrant red color of cranberry also affords the drink a great fit for that special Valentine occasion….after all presentation does have it’s merits.

Cape Codder Ingredients:

1) Ice Cubes

2) 2 fluid ounces vodka

3) 4 fluid ounce cranberry juice

4) half a lime plus wedge for garnish

Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour the vodka and cranberry juice over the ice. Squeeze the juice from the lime into the drink. Stir gently. Garnish the edge of the glass with the lime wedge. Serves one person.

A simple cocktail…tart and DELICIOUS!! .
