Donna Margaret Meyers passed away on January 29th, 2022 following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Donna was surrounded by loved ones in her own home when she passed. She lived her life with a positive outlook and it was rare to see her without a smile on her face.
Donna is survived by her children, Nicole (Aaron) Knecht and Shawn (Katherine) Silver; her grandchildren, Harper and Ashton Knecht, and Akacia Pocha; her siblings, Jean Meyers, Rena Meyers (Bill Cline), Pat Meyers, Joanne (Larry) Attig, and Judy (Casey) Akkermans; the father of her children, Bob Silver, and his siblings, Judy (Ernie) Krip and Bill Silver; her brother-in-law, Art Spademan; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; her cousin and best friend, Beth Porter; her best friend, Joanne Spink; in addition, many lifelong friends she has made along the way.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Dick Meyers; brother-in-law, George Yuzik; niece, Terilyn Yuzik; her parents-in-law, Elmer and Isobel Silver; her sisters-in-law, Suzanne (Gottfried) Gentek, Gay Spademan and Yvonne Silver.
Donna was born and raised in Kinistino, SK but settled in Prince Albert to raise her family. She worked for 32 years at the Royal Bank. After retiring from the bank, she worked for the Sask Rivers School Division in various roles but enjoyed secretary work the most.
Donna will be missed for many reasons but most of all for her kindness, selflessness, and positive attitude. She has made a huge impact on so many people’s lives and will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 4 at Messiah Lutheran Church -1796 15th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK with lunch to follow. The Celebration of Life will be live streamed and may be viewed at: https://youtu.be/Gyx7nK0fTMU Interment will be held at a later date.
