Listen: Railways struggle to meet rail orders for grain cars

MELFORT, Sask. — Even with reduced traffic due to the smaller crop, rail companies have been running into some difficulties moving grain.

Milt Poirier with QGI Consulting who monitors grain movement for the Ag Transport Coalition said the 2021-22 crop year can be described as two seasons within a season.
