NEW YEAR'S EVE

What’s happening to ring in the new year in P.A.?

Dec 31, 2021 | 8:00 AM

With Christmas now wrapped up, many in the city will be ready to welcome 2022 this weekend.

While the City of Prince Albert has no official events planned for Dec. 31, there are some activities happening in the community.

The Royal Canadian Legion No. 2 is hosting a New Year’s bash with the Travellin Band, the Creedance Clearwater Revival Tribute Band. The event starts at 8:00 p.m. with doors opening at 7:00 p.m.

The ANAVETS club on 11 Street West will also be holding a New Year’s event featuring Floyd Laliberte and Dave Arsenault.

All events will require masks when entering along with proof of vaccination as per provincial regulations.

The city is also offering free transit services this year as part of the “Wing in the New Year” initiative. The public transit service will be offered from 7:15 p.m on Dec. 31, until 3:15 a.m. Jan. 1. The

Cab coupons of $10 will also be provided thanks to The Prince Albert and Area Community Alcohol Strategy Steering Committee (CASSC) SGI, Northern Lights Community Development Corporation, Grey Cab and Checker Taxi.

An event previously planned by Rock Trout Events was cancelled due to COVID concerns.
