Raiders sign 14th overall pick from WHL draft

The Prince Albert Raiders are signing another one of their prospects to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Forward Ryder Ritchie was taken 14th overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft earlier in December.

“We are excited to add Ryder to our group,” said Bruno Zarrillo, Raiders’ director of player personnel. “He has an elite skill set and elite hockey intelligence. Ryder lives to play hockey.”

In six games with Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U18 Prep team, Ritchie has scored two goals and five assists. In five games with the U15 Prep team last year, he scored 10 goals and 18 assists.

Ritchie is also the fourth prospect the Raiders have signed after the WHL Draft.
