RCMP continue to investigate case of stolen ATM from June
Prince Albert RCMP is still investigating an ATM theft from this past summer and believes someone may have information that could help them solve the crime.
On June 22, 2021, around 5:15 a.m., RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter at a business on Highway 2, north of Prince Albert. The business’s door was smashed and an ATM containing a sum of cash had been stolen.
“ATMs are bulky. They’re heavy. It takes some planning to enter a business and take one,” said Sgt. Lisa Molle. “This was right at the side of a major area highway. That’s why we are sure that there are people that have information about this brazen crime against a local business.”
The investigation has found that multiple people were involved in the theft. They were driving a white Nissan Rogue with a license plate beginning with ‘233’.
