Two women taken to hospital after one was pulled from the river

The Prince Albert Fire Department and Parkland Ambulance were called to the riverbank Saturday morning for a rescue after an 18-year-old woman entered the river.
According to a media release, around 7:30 a.m. crews responded to the river at 15 Ave. and River St. W. where two 18-year-old women were found sitting by the water with no injuries but with wet pants.
In the release, Lyle Karasiuk, Director of Public Affairs for Parkland Ambulance believed one woman went into the water and was pulled back to land by the other woman.
They were both taken to hospital to receive treatment for hypothermia.
