Gerald “Gerry” Henri Joseph Voisin
1946 ~ 2021

With profound sadness, Gerry’s family announce his passing on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Herb Bassett Home, in Prince Albert, SK. Beloved spouse of Yvonne Wolverine, he will be greatly missed by many members of her family, including daughter, Melanie; son, Michael; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Marcel (Fran) and Maurice (Jennifer); nieces, Tammie (Chris), Carlie (Duncan) and Chantelle; nephew, Paul (Jacquie); as well as countless cousins extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Corrine in 2003; and his father, Henri, in 2012.

Gerald was born October 9, 1946, in Spiritwood, SK. The family moved from the Shell Lake area to St. Louis and ultimately settled in Prince Albert. There, Gerry graduated from TECH Highschool and went on to earn his journeyman electrician license. He lived for a time in Edmonton, working as an electrician. Returning to Prince Albert, he started his own electrical company. Later he began working at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in the maintenance department and finally retired in 2011.

Gerry loved working on vehicles, often taking two wrecks and building them into one good car or truck. He could always be found in his large shop surrounded by tools and projects. His love of the outdoors began as a child when his family went fishing and camping at numerous lakes north of Prince Albert. As an adult he added hunting to his outdoor enjoyment. Gerald loved animals, owning many different dogs, birds and even rabbits. He and Yvonne enjoyed a memorable vacation to Belize as well as fun in Las Vegas and many trips up North with her family.

A service for Gerald will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. Family and friends unable to attend the service may view it online at http://www.livememorialservices.com/Home/ServiceDetail/17289 .
