MELFORT, Sask. – Interest continues to grow as another farm show returns to a full in-person event.

Canada’s Farm Show in Regina has roughly 75 per cent of its exhibit space filled for the event next year.

Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) President and CEO Tim Reid said many exhibitors renewed their space from previous years.

He said REAL is planning for a normal show June 21 to 23, 2022.

Telus Agriculture has found its new president.

John Raines brings over 20 years of global experience in data science and digital agriculture and involvement in multi-billion-dollar mergers and acquisitions within North America and around the world. He also led the global commercialization of the largest digital agriculture platform in North America, South America, and Europe.

Telus president Darren Entwistle said Raines will play an important role on the company’s leadership team.

“With his genuine passion for farming and agriculture, John will further progress our goal of connecting the entire agricultural value chain with smart, secure, end-to-end technology software solutions,” Entwistle said in a news release.

Raines takes over the new position Nov. 29.
