Irene Lillian Graham (nee Allen)
September 20, 1926 – November 1, 2021
Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Predeceased by her loving husband John in 1996, her parents Henry & Christine, brothers Larry, Ernie, Lloyd & sister Kaye; grandchild baby Robbie & most recently her son Ricky.
Mum is survived by daughters Cheryl (Bill) of Vernon, BC; Donna (Tim) of Saskatoon, SK; daughter in-law Marilyn of Prince Albert; sons Rob (Debbie) of Osoyoos, BC; Gary of Maple Ridge, BC; along with her many grandchildren & great grandchildren that she loved so much.
Mum raised 5 children while working night shifts at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert, as a nurses aid. She went on to work with Dr. Orville Hjaertas at the PA Community Clinic for many years and ended her working career with Dr. Prasad at the PA Clinic.
Mum had many passions but primarily family, work, sports, gardening and dancing. Her love of life & living had few boundaries. So many memories of Mum dancing circles around all who dared to venture onto the dance floor with her. Mum retired to Vernon & then to Maple Ridge, BC. She had fun filled winters in Yuma, Arizona enjoying the company of the other Snowbirds, many from Sask. Mum relocated in her twilight years to Osoyoos, BC where her son Rob lived. A beautiful area convenient for her grandchildren to holiday & visit with her. Mum maintained her sense of humour right to the very end & never found anything to complain about. Always quick to laugh or jokingly give someone hell when necessary.
We will always be grateful for the love & companionship in her final years by Rob, his wife Debbie & Deb’s wonderful parents Don & Sharon Bennett of Osoyoos. Also the many staff who cared for Mum at MARIPOSA Gardens Retirement Home in Osoyoos, BC.
The music finally died for Mum with her son Rob & granddaughters Cindy & Kari at her side.
She did a lot of good, raised a lot of hell & had a great time doing it! She will be sorely missed by her loving family & friends.
Rest In Peace young lady, you did give it your best.
