Paisley Dawn Hansen, of Weldon, SK passed away unexpectedly at the family home on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, at the age of 8 years old.
Although Paisley’s time on earth was not long, her impact was profound and far-reaching. From the beginning, she fought to survive and through her courage, she taught values of compassion, acceptance, and respect for differences.
Throughout her life, Paisley was surrounded by the love of her family, especially cherished by her Mom, Dad, Brother, and Sister. On the farm she got to experience many things, like a kitten sitting on her lap, riding in the tractor, cows mooing in the field, and Coy the family dog always made sure he was looking out for her. Paisley’s brother and sister always loved to spend time with her, making sure she always had toys to play with, snuggling with her on her bed, and complete with a blanket to tuck her in.
Paisley’s sunny disposition made her a favorite with her Doctors and Therapists, they were constantly amazed by her. She had the sweetest smile, an infectious laugh, and a beautiful sparkle in her eye. Her community and school adored her, and her fellow students were always finding ways to make sure she was included in school activities.
Paisley’s legacy is measured in the lives she touched, the love she inspired, and the life lessons she imparted, making the world a better, more inclusive place.
Paisley is survived by her loving parents Myles and Colleen Hansen; her brother Rhett; her sister Dawsyn; her grandparents Merlene Hansen and Howard and Meridee Robertson; her great grandmother Anna Robertson; her aunts, uncles, and cousins Marilee (Lynne) Taylor (their children Colter and Madelyn), Aaron (Jennifer) Hansen (their children Courtney, Kylee, & Brady), Matthew (Melanie) Robertson (their children Quaid and Brandt), & Erin (Tyler) Libke (their children Dax and Reese).
