It is with sadness that the family of Linda Lorna Brassard, nee Shynkaruk, passed away suddenly on September 29, 2021.
Linda was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, on March 22, 1947, to Lenora and Isadore Shynkaruk. She married the love of her life, Joseph Brassard, on January 28, 1967. Linda enjoyed the time she worked for Ben Moss Jewellers and for Aloette where she won 4 Caribbean Cruises and a trip for 2 to Hawaii. Linda also enjoyed travelling with Joe in their Motorhome. Linda and Joe spent the majority of their life in Prince Albert, moving to their home at Emma Lake upon retirement, where Linda enjoyed her flowers, ponds, watching the birds enjoying the flowers, and the deer as they wondered in the yard every day.
Linda leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Joseph Brassard; her sister Mag (Victor) Gignac; her brother Denis (Sharon) Shynkaruk; her brother Ernie (Pam Shynkaruk) her sister, Shelley (Mark) Tendeck; her brothers-in-law Arthur Brassard, Douglas (Lorraine) Brassard, and Lawrence (Tracy) Brassard; and her sisters-in-law, Yvonne (Brian) and Linda Brassard, as well as the many nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Lenora and Isadore; her in-laws, Edward and Teresa Brassard, and her sister-in-law, Debbie Brassard.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
