Margaret “Sikos” Ballantyne was born on February 21, 1937, in Sturgeon Landing, SK, and passed away on September 25, 2021, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 84 years.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Jack, Jackie, Theodore, Leslie, Eric (Gail), Edmund (Michelle), Kathy (Kelvin), Desmond; her brothers, Stanley Merasty, Bernard Peterson, Ralph (Irene) McDonald; her sister, Mrs. Judy Morin; her special cousins, Angelique Ray, Susan Custer; her 31 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews, friends and relatives from surrounding communities.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jonas Ballantyne; her sons, Donald & Franklin Ballantyne; her parents, David & Charlotte Merasty; her step-father, Herbert Peterson; her brothers & sisters, Angus Merasty (Angelique), Emil Merasty (Elsie), Isaac Merasty, Lena Merasty, Cecile Merasty; her grandchildren, Brigette Morin, Heather Ballantyne, Gage Morin, Kiefer Morin, Nevaeha Ballantyne; her in-laws, Elizabeth Merasty, Adele McCallum, Margaret Ross, Harry Ballantyne, Jean Marie Ballantyne, Edward Ballantyne.

The Prayer Service for Margaret will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating; the Wake Service will be held the evening of Wednesday, September 29, 2021 and Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Multipurpose Building, in Sandy Bay, SK; and the Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, in Sandy Bay, SK, with Father Heinner Paucar officiating.
