‘Somebody out there knows the truth’: Police continue 30-year-old homicide investigation
Three decades have passed since their mother died and the children of Jean Lachance are still waiting to find out how and why it happened.
The Prince Albert Police Service continues to seek additional information that can help solve the thirty-year-old homicide case.
Sgt. Kathy Edwardsen with the Prince Albert Police Service’s Missing Persons and Historical Crimes unit said, “somebody out there knows the truth and we hope they will do the right thing and come forward.”
On September 15, 1991, Lachance’s body was discovered along the bush line in a field south of Victoria Hospital. She had five children between the ages of four and 11 who were left without a mother. Those children are now adults and are hoping the person responsible for her death can find the courage to do the right thing and come forward to police after all this time.
