City transit bus routes cancelled due to delays in parts and repairs

Sep 15, 2021 | 10:58 AM

Transit bus routes across the City of Prince Albert are being cancelled for the rest of the week as the city continues to wait on parts and repairs.

The city announced in a Wednesday release their Rush Hour and All-Day Express buses won’t be running for the rest of the week due to the delay in both repairs and materials.

The West Flat bus route won’t be running on Wednesday either due to a repair.

The City’s Operations Manager Mohammed Kraishan told paNOW the bus on the Rush Hour route is waiting on parts to begin the repairs and the All-Day Express route is being currently being repaired. He said they hope to have it fixed by the end of the week.

The West Flat bus repairs are almost finalized and he expects it to be back on the road this afternoon.

“In these cases here in addition to the regular maintenance it’s just unexpected break downs in the buses,” he said. “For the Rush Hour and the All-Day Express we’re trying to get them up and running here, especially the All-Day Express by the end of this week but we have been working continuously with our bus contractor to resolve them as soon as we can but we can’t really guarantee any timelines. We will keep updating the public as we go here.”
