341 new COVID-19 cases reported in the province

Saskatchewan reported 341 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, a day after they announced the second-highest total since the pandemic began, with 432 cases in Friday’s update.

For Saturday’s newest cases, 47 are in the North Central zone, 43 in the North West and 17 in the North East. There were also 29 in the Far North East, 25 in the Far North West and one in Far North Central. There were 78 cases to report in Saskatoon and 22 in Regina.

There are 198 hospitalizations, an increase of eight from Friday. There was one new death to report, making it 618 to date.

NITHA numbers

There are 16 new cases to report today in NITHA communities. 11 (69 per cent) were unvaccinated, 3 (19 per cent) are partially vaccinated and 2 (12 per cent) were fully vaccinated.

There are 376 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 24; Far North West, 46; Far North East, 223; North Central,51; and North East, 32; 4,832 cases (92 per cent) have recovered, and eight people are hospitalized.
