Saskatchewan gov’t develops printable COVID vaccination records

Saskatchewan residents can now print off their COVID-19 vaccination records.

The provincial government announced Monday a new one-page printable COVID vaccination record will be available to people on their MySaskHealthRecord (MSHR) account at eHealth Saskatchewan.

The record also can be seen on mobile and tablet devices.

The document features the date and location of the person’s COVID vaccinations and the brand of vaccine they received.

“While your complete immunization record has always been available on your MySaskHealthRecord account, this is a more user-friendly version that provides only your COVID vaccination record,” Health Minister Paul Merriman said in a media release.

“While proof of vaccination is not required by the Government of Saskatchewan for events or venues, we know that there are some locations within Canada that are requesting that documentation.”

The Saskatchewan government added it’s working with the federal government on an official proof of vaccination certificate that will include a digital QR code to prove a person has been vaccinated if they’re travelling internationally.

That certificate is to be released this fall.

Saskatchewan residents who don’t have a MSHR account can visit eHealth Saskatchewan to set one up.

There were 1,197 COVID vaccinations done in Saskatchewan in the latest reporting period, increasing the province’s total to date to 1,433,757. The latest total included 880 second doses, meaning 666,931 people in the province now are considered fully vaccinated.

The province also reported 56 new COVID cases and 62 recoveries. There currently are 650 active cases in Saskatchewan.
