Police investigating woman’s death as suspicious after she was assaulted in P.A.
The Prince Albert Police Service are investigating after a 40-year-old woman died in hospital after she was assaulted in P.A.
According to a media release, on Aug. 5 the PAPS and Parkland Ambulance attended to a business on the 3600 Block of Second Ave. W. after receiving a call of an assault. The police did not specify what business the incident happened at.
The woman was taken to Victoria Hospital with serious injuries and was later moved to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. On Aug. 7 she was declared dead by medical staff and the case has been deemed suspicious.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday and the Criminal Investigations Division as well as Forensics Identification Section continue to investigate.
