Curbside concerts a welcomed attraction around the city

Prince Albert is hosting many curb side concerts this afternoon featuring Wade Fehr and his son Chord.

The first concert was today at 1 p.m. at Econo Lumber and at 2 p.m. at Canadian Tire, finishing up at 3 p.m. at the Lake Country Co-op Food Store at Cornerstone.

“It’s really nice to be back doing it, everyone seems to be so excited to be hearing music,” Wade told paNOW. “It’s been a long time coming.”

A new single is being released by Wade on August 16, 2021.

“I’m releasing a new single that day. I’ll be putting out some more information on my social media over the next few days. I’m excited for people to hear it when it comes out,” Wade said.

Fans coming out to see Wade play today can expect all kinds of music.

“Mostly original songs that I have wrote, I will play my acoustic guitar, some harmonica, foot drum and tambourine, kind of a one man band,” Wade said. “My son Chord will be joining me with some bass clarinet.”

Overall, the curb side concerts are meant for people to have fun at, and for Chord, this will be his first time doing that.

“I’ve played in concerts, but never a curb side concert,” Chord said. “I really like playing the music.”

One person in attendance, Krista Yonz is happy to see these events happening again.

“It’s super cool,” Yonz said. “I think everyone is really excited to get back at it. It’s nice seeing more people doing outside stuff too.”

Next up at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts is a drive-thru concert featuring Allyson Reigh.
