Arrests made following violent incidents at Prince Albert businesses

A pair of arrests were made over the weekend in Prince Albert, following two separate violent incidents involving store employees being assaulted.

The first incident happened Friday afternoon. Police responded to a complaint at a business along 15th Ave. W. A woman allegedly threatened staff with knife after being evicted from the store. The 26-year-old woman is facing charges of theft and assault, and is scheduled to make her first court appearance June 14.

Late Saturday night, there was an incident at a business in the 200 Block of 32nd St. W. Police were called to the area for a report of a man who had caused damage inside the store and assaulted an employee.

The 25-year-old, who is facing charges of assault with a weapon and mischief, was arrested near the scene. He is scheduled to appear in court June 29.
