Firefighters quick to action extinguishing blaze on Eighth Street East
Smoke damage is visible from a third story window of an apartment block on the 100 block of Eighth Street East early this morning as tenants watched emergency responders work to save the building.
According to the Prince Albert Fire Department Facebook page, they responded to the incident at approximately 3 a.m. where fire was seen billowing through the window.
Firefighters made entry into the structure and were quick to put out the blaze. A primary search was conducted, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
All the residents of the apartment building were evacuated from their suites and the blaze was contained to the individual suite where there was significant damage. Other suites in the building as well as the main floor of the business received water and smoke damage.
