May 20, 2021 | 9:02 AM

The Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career & Job Fair is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020-2021 Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career & Job Fair bursary.

“Supporting Prince Albert and area students in their post-secondary aspirations is what this event is all about,” said Patricia Bibby, Chairperson of the Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career & Job Fair.

The opening Doors to Tomorrow Career & Job Fair is a collaborative effort of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Prince Albert Community Futures, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and the Saskatchewan Rivers Public Schools Division. The fair is an annual event that hosts over 60 displayers, 2000 local students, and 500 community members. Bibby says that students “look forward to the event every year”.

She says that “students see themselves reflected in the opportunities presented and make personal connections to the meaning and purpose of their education”.

Bursary Provided Despite Cancellation

Although the 2020 fair was cancelled to COVID protocol, the organizing partners unanimously agreed to use contingency funds and a donation provided by Prince Albert Community Futures to support local students in their pursuit of higher education.

Each recipient will receive a $500 bursary.
