Fatal house fire on Pelican Lake First Nation

A man died in the early hours of Sunday morning in a house fire on Pelican Lake First Nation.
According to Spritwood RCMP, officers attended the scene and found the residence was completely destroyed and were advised there may have been a man in the residence. Police searched and found a body of a deceased male inside.
The RCMP Forensics team, the Provincial Fire Commissioners Office, and the Coroners office investigated the death and determined there is nothing suspicious at this time about the fire or the unfortunate death of the home owner at this time. No one else was in the residence at this time. The family has been notified.
Pelican Lake First Nation is located northeast of North Battleford and west of Prince Albert.
