One positive COVID-19 case identified at St. John Community School

The Prince Albert Catholic School Division is reporting the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has identified a positive COVID-19 case at St. John Community School in Prince Albert.

According to a media release, the SHA is assessing the situation and all those who were close contacts will be given instructions. The classroom/cohort the individual was involved in and the school community has been notified.

“We want to reassure families of St. John Community School that the school will continue to operate for in-person classes while maintaining the safety protocols that are in place,” the release stated. “To protect privacy, we are not able to share or discuss details.”

Further updates to the students and families will be done using the Edsby platform.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with these members of our school community, and we hope they are doing well. We all have a shared responsibility to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools.”
