Kinsmen raise just under $2,600 for TeleMiracle at annual Pancake Breakfast Donation Drive

Feb 26, 2021 | 3:00 PM

The Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert’s 45th annual TeleMiracle Pancake Breakfast Donation Drive Friday morning was a success.

According to Kinsmen member Marcus Abrametz, they raised just under $2,600 from the 100 people who showed up to Smitty’s Family Restaurant. Ambrametz said that is very good, considering the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The breakfast went great. We’re very pleased with the turnout and very pleased with Prince Albert resident’s generous donations,” Abrametz explained.

Those who showed up gave either a donation or purchased a pancake breakfast for $7 and residents who did donate will have their names displayed during the TeleMiracle broadcast this weekend.

“We’re really appreciative to Smitty’s for again offering us the opportunity to raise money for our city’s most vulnerable people,” he said. “Volunteering for TeleMiracle is a virtue that is its own reward.”

The TeleMiracle 45 broadcast will be live from Saskatoon on Saturday. The main event starts at 9 p.m. and goes straight through till 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28. The Prince Albert Kinsmen and Kinettes will be there taking phone calls for donations.
