P.A. business awards presented at unique event

Feb 26, 2021 | 8:00 AM

Lakeland Ford is the 2020 Samuel McLeod Business of the Year.

The local dealership was one of ten businesses, organizations or individuals who walked away with the honours Thursday night during a unique hybrid awards evening from the E.A. Rawlinson Centre.

Given the current COVID-19 restrictions the Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce produced a blend of live presentation (with a reduced in-person audience) combined with pre-recorded video messaging for those who could not attend.

The event, delayed from April last year because of the pandemic, was livestreamed on the chamber’s YouTube channel. The night was also a celebration of this, the 30th annual Samuel McLeod awards, and was interspersed with various short messages from several guests on video.

“We were so lucky to have Terry McLeod, great grandson of Samuel McLeod, stop by our Chamber office and say a few words of congratulations, as well as MP, Randy Hoback and Premier Scott Moe,” chamber CEO Elise Hildebrandt said.
