Ronald Clark

It is with heavy hearts the family of Ronald Davidson Clark announce his passing due to Covid 19, on January 18, 2021 at the age of 91.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years Emma (nee Wagner);  children Betty (Dave) Folmer, Ken (Diane) Clark, Pat (Bruce) Tulloch and Shelley Clark;  grandchildren: Trinity (Dallas) Paterson, Greg (Michelle) Folmer, Scott Tulloch, Tara Tulloch and Jessica Mintram;  great grandchildren: Chandler Folmer, Reid Folmer, Jillian Paterson, Gavin Paterson; in-laws: Philip Wagner, Gerry Wagner, Elsie (John) Hugel, Doreen Creaser, David (Judy) Wagner, Larry Wagner and Alma (Alan) Mohr; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Ivy; older siblings: Florence (Joe) Cochran, Doris (David) Potter, Harold (Maxine) Clark, Vera (Wallace) Clarke and granddaughter Kristen Tulloch in infancy; and in-laws: Pauline and Karl Wagner, John (Edna) Wagner, Jake (Darlene) Wagner, Eva (Pete) Friesen, Henry Wagner, Agnes (Lawrence) Ross and Luella Wagner.

Ron was born on May 23, 1929 in the community of Lily Plain, SK, the youngest of five children.  He farmed with his father at Lily Plain and continued the tradition with his wife and son on the new farm west of Prince Albert, where he built the family home.  He was also a gifted wood worker and worked at the P.A. Penitentiary as a carpentry instructor before starting his own business with Emma as his trusty helper.  He never turned down an opportunity to assist family and friends with building projects, from hope chests to houses.  In retirement Ron and Emma moved to Prince Albert.

Ron and Emma enjoyed many travel adventures to such places as Spain and Honduras.  Family camping and vacations with other relatives will always be the source of many special memories.  They were also very fortunate to spend many winters in Arizona before health kept them closer to home.

He will be fondly remembered for his endless generosity, love for playing practical jokes, striking up conversations with complete strangers, and above all, his love of getting together with family and friends.  The “corn roast” will be an enduring reminder of Ron and his love to keep family and friends connected.

We would like to thank everyone at Mont St. Joseph for welcoming Ron and caring for him as part of their family.  We would also like to thank Dr. Egbeyemi for his compassionate care.

Due to Covid restrictions and safety measures, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, those wishing to make a memorial donation can do so to the Mont. St Joseph Foundation, 777 28^th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8C2.
