MELFORT, Sask. – Farm Credit Canada (FCC) virtual events are being held in January and February.

The session on estate planning is Jan. 12, understanding your money mindset is Jan. 26 and farm transition planning is Feb. 9.

Anyone who cannot attend live can still register and request a recording.

The 2021 Agronomy Update, a joint venture from Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers, Alberta Barley, and the Alberta Wheat Commission, will be held online Jan. 19 and 20.

There will be 17 presentations, an agronomic panel and four question and answer sessions.

The Alberta Canola Producers Commission virtual annual general meeting is Jan. 26.

The meeting will include a review activities and finances, along with voting on resolutions. Those resolutions must be submitted by Jan. 12. Growers who wish to vote must also register by 4 p.m. Jan. 12.

Farmers who have sold canola and paid a service charge since Aug. 1, 2018 are eligible. An election to choose a new director for Region Five will also be held. Nominations close January 12.

This includes the counties of Thorhild, Barrhead, and Athabasca, along with Smoky Lake, Sturgeon, Westlock, and Woodlands and any other communities within those boundaries.
