Police searching for two suspects after stabbing

Dec 17, 2020 | 4:54 PM

Police are looking for two suspects after a man was stabbed at a home on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation, north of Prince Albert Wednesday afternoon.

In a media release, Prince Albert RCMP said they attended the residence along with members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team and RCMP Police Dog Services.

The initial investigation indicates a 39-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman first arrived at the home in a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The man entered the home and assaulted the victim while the female waited in the vehicle.

After the assault, the male suspect stole the victim’s vehicle — a white Chevrolet Impala with Saskatchewan plate 568 LNW. He fled the scene. The female followed in the Monte Carlo.

The victim was taken to Saskatoon hospital by air ambulance for serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was released from hospital today.

The male suspect was identified as Welsey Naytowhow. He is 5-8 tall, weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Naytowhow faces several charges including theft of motor vehicle, break and enter into a residence to commit an indictable offence, robbery, aggravated assault, and uttering death threats.

The female suspect was identified as Ashley Badger. She is 5-5 tall, weighs 165 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
