One new COVID-19 death reported, the eighth since Nov. 25
One new COVID-19-related death and 197 new coronavirus cases were reported by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on Saturday.
A North West zone resident in the 80+ group, who tested positive for COVID-19, has died. That is the eighth COVID-19 death since Wednesday.
Out of the 197 new COVID-19 cases, 17 are in the North Central zone, five in the North West and five in the North East. The Far North West has six new cases, while the Far North East has four. Regina is reporting 73 new cases, Saskatoon has 56, South West has 16, South Central has five, Central East with five, and the South East zone has two. Two cases have pending residence information.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 234 (19.3 new cases per 100,000 population).
