Despite the crushing weight of COVID the HN Club under the guidance of President Izabela continues our annual donation to the world wide “ShoeBox” program which provides a box of festive gifts to disadvantaged children. These young folks may be in a refugee camp, displaced by war or a slum barrio.
The HN ‘optielves’, following proper COVID protocols, packed up the boxes for onward delivery to a central collection point. They will then be directed to the recipients, wherever they may live.
In this day where we take the PS5 as a necessity, imagine the look of joy on the face of a young child who has nothing including a family – who opens this gift. This may provide the first step to a more positive way of life.
We can and are happy to donate these gifts and optimism in the belief that someday, somewhere, life will get better.
