COVID-19: Two more deaths in North Central zone; 181 new cases province-wide
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 181 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, one day after a record single-day total of 308 were reported on Saturday.
Sunday’s number is the third-highest single-day new case count recorded to date in the province. Two deaths, both in the North Central zone that includes Prince Albert, were also reported on Sunday. One individual was in their 20s, while the other was in 80+ age group. There have now been 31 deaths due to COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (9), Far North East (7), North West (16), North Central (9), North East (6), Saskatoon (64), Central West (2), Central East (1), Regina (28), South West (1), South Central (10) and South East (18) zones and 10 new cases have pending residence information.
Of the 5,001 cases reported to date, 1,807 are considered active. A total of 3,163 people have recovered.
