Moving tribute by students and staff at St. Anne school

Nov 11, 2020 | 9:33 AM

There have been no classes this week at École St. Anne School, but that hasn’t stopped staff and students from paying their respects to Canada’s veterans.

On Tuesday, Grade 6 French teacher Mrs. Longlitz arrived early and attached the poppies the students had made, to the fence line of the school yard.

“This teacher and her class have made a difference in the community. Let this be a reminder to all of us to take the day of Remembrance to signify and remember all those who have sacrificed so much for our country,” a statement from the Prince Albert Catholic School Division read.

Each year the classes and schools in all Prince Albert Catholic Schools organize lessons, liturgies and present special prayers on Remembrance Day.
