MELFORT, Sask. – Some rural municipal ratepayers are going to the polls today to vote for RM council representatives.
Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities President Ray Orb said about 78 per cent of the 192 RM councils were acclaimed.
Today’s vote will consist of odd-numbered divisions and reeve. Some even-numbered divisions were included to fill empty seats. Voting for rural municipality councils alternates between odd and even-numbered divisions every two years.
Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
