Police arrest 31-year-old man after robbery with rifle
The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) arrested a 31-year-old male suspect Tuesday evening after he allegedly robbed a business on Marquis Road with a gun.
According to a media release, at 7:20 p.m. the police arrived at the business at the 600 Block of Marquis Road after a man allegedly went inside with a long-barrelled rifle and left with an undisclosed amount of cash and other items.
Officers of the B Platoon with PAPS surrounded the area to arrest the man shortly after 9 p.m. and the firearm was found close by.
The members on scene were assisted by officers of the RCMP and the new Crime Suppression Team formed by PAPS earlier this month.
