North Central zone with most active COVID-19 cases in province
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
The North Central zone reported the most cases of the day with eight and has the most active cases of any zone in the province with 72. Prince Albert and the surrounding area are in the North Central zone.
The PA Gospel Worship event in Prince Albert is the origin of at least 79 first and second generation cases across the province, primarily in the North. Many of the newer cases and outbreaks arising in the North are now third generation cases from this event.
Regina has six new cases, while Central East has three, Central West has two, and Far North East, North West, Saskatoon, and South East zones are all reporting one case each.
