Students to learn about safety on the farm virtually this year
MELFORT, SASK. – Progressive Agriculture Safety Day put on by Safe Communities Humboldt and Area will look a little different this year but the goal remains the same.
The typical one-day event gives students information on the risks and dangers associated with the farm according to Executive Director Shari Hinz.
“There is lots of activity on the farm year-round but especially this time of year,” Hinz said. “It is one of the busiest times with respect to equipment on the roadways and in and out of farmyards.”
Around 200 students from the Muenster, Lake Lenore, Three Lakes, and Annaheim Schools will have the opportunity to take part in sessions and activities from Oct. 5 to 9.
