Second candidate to run for Ward 5
A man who once owned a limo company in Prince Albert is formally tossing his hat into the ring for the city’s civic election.
Don Wood, 54, has announced plans to run in Ward 5, and will therefore challenge incumbent Dennis Ogrodnick. Wood told paNOW he has no personal agenda entering the race.
“I truly want to go in and represent what the people not only in my ward but also the people in this city actually want,” he said.
Wood, who currently works for the Ministry of Environment in the Forest Services Branch, has an educational background in public administration, and has also worked for the city’s finance department. While he has no specific campaign priorities, Wood mentioned he would like help to advance the city’s economic growth, as well as find ways to help beautify the city to attract more people to come to Prince Albert.
