SASKATCHEWAN – Viterra and STARS are teaming up for a major fundraiser.

The 2021 calendar, now in its 28th year, has raised millions of dollars and is STARS’ second largest fundraiser, with more than 60,000 calendars sold each year.

Viterra North America President and CEO Kyle Jeworski said the company is pleased to continue its support of STARS.

“STARS has had a tremendous impact on the lives of patients in rural communities, including our employees, our customers and their families,” Jeworski said in a news release. “We are proud to help patients share their stories and support STARS in raising awareness so that they can continue their life-saving work.”

STARS President and CEO Andrea Robertson said the organization is grateful for Viterra’s support especially during the pandemic when many fundraising events were postponed or cancelled.

“We are grateful for Viterra’s ongoing partnership to continue our calendar program, helping STARS stay operational and providing world-class, life-saving emergency medical care to patients who need it most,” Robertson said.

The calendars will be available until Dec. 4 at most Viterra locations, as well as online at starscalendar.ca. Those interested in purchasing a calendar, or donating to STARS, can contact a local Viterra facility for more information.

This is the sixth consecutive year Viterra has covered the full printing costs of the calendar.
