Raiders offer unique game puck package for fans

The Prince Albert Raiders are offering fans a unique way to become a part of the team’s history.

To celebrate its 50th season, the organization is selling official WHL game pucks fans can put their name on.

Each person who participates in the program will purchase five pucks, one of which will be given to them in a display box along with a letter of authenticity stating that the remaining four pucks will be used in an official WHL game during the 2020-21 season. Fans are also guaranteed to receive a second puck which has been used during a game.

In a news release issued Monday, the organization said if the Raiders score a goal when the fan’s puck is in play, it will be removed from the game, autographed by the player who scored and returned to the fan. There are some other incentives to the program too including $10 gift cards for the Prince Albert Source for Sports Team Store at the Art Hauser Centre. And if that goal holds up as a game-winning goal, the fan will receive a $20 gift card.

If a fan puck is being used when a player hits a milestone like their first WHL goal or 50th goal of the season, the purchaser will receive an autographed picture of the player holding that puck.
