Police continue to search for answers 41 years after nurse’s disappearance

It’s been 41 years since June Johnson, a Prince Albert nurse, disappeared.

Johnson was last seen Aug. 3, 1979 when she was dropped off at the former Marlboro Hotel in the city. She was 34 years old.

In a media release issued Monday, the Prince Albert Police Service said it continues to look for answers and to try and find closure for Johnson’s family and friends.

If you have any information on Johnson’s disappearance, however insignificant it may seem, the Prince Albert Police Service urges you to come forward and help investigators discover the truth.

Ten years ago, paNOW spoke with Johnson’s daughter Bonnie, who said she continues to wait for more information on what happened to her mother. She said prior to her disappearance, her mother had quit her job and planned a move to Winnipeg.
