Former Bears win silver at Winter Universiade

Prince Albert’s Jessica Vance and Kaitlin Willoughby have been awarded silver medals, following Team Canada’s loss to Russia at the Winter Universiade in Russia

Team Canada lost 2-0 in the Championship game on Monday. There had been no score after 40 minutes of play, but the Russian team was able to capitalize at the 8:32 mark of the third, and then secured the win with an empty net goal later in the period .

Prince Albert’s Jessica Vance was in goal and faced 42 shots. Willoughby had four shots on net.

This year marks the third consecutive time the women’s hockey team has won silver at the games.
