It appears a monument to a Saskatchewan football legend has been vandalized.

A social media post shows graffiti on the football in the hands of the statue of Ron Lancaster outside Mosaic Stadium.

Lancaster played for the Roughriders from 1963 to 1978. Known as “The Little General,” he quarterbacked the team during its first Grey Cup win in 1966. He was Saskatchewan’s head coach during the 1979 and ’80 CFL seasons.
